Some people believe since they work during the day and are home most nights a home security system isnt needed. This couldnt be further from the truth. In the U.S. a majority of burglaries occur during the daytime when homes are unoccupied. One study showed 60% of burglaries occur during the day. This is an increase over past decades and is believed to be due to the fact many women now work leaving the home unattended during the day. This theory is supported by the fact the majority of burglaries occur on weekdays.
A home security system may be your only saving grace if your home is burglarized during the day.
