Home Invasion And What You Need To Know
Home invasions are when a criminal or criminals forcibly enters a home with the inhabitants inside. Usually the criminals know someone is inside, but enter just the same. Most burglars would head the other way knowing someone is inside, but home invaders care little. Because these criminals know they may have to face someone inside it makes them that much more dangerous. Once again this is the opposite of a burglar who prefers to rob a home when people are out during the day or after seeing the signs of a home that's unoccupied.
The Home invader usually has at least one partner to help with the invasion and violence can often be expected because of the nature of this crime. Home Invasion criminals will often carry guns and a means to tie up the home owner in order to rob their home or worse. The homes picked for invasion aren't often by chance.
Usually a home invasion occurs at a home for a reason. Perhaps the home is chosen because they suspect the person has money, or that the person will be a push over such as a senior citizen. Stay tuned for part II of Home Invasion and What You Need To Know.
